Marisa holds a BBA degree from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops (Economics major/Finance minor), as well as a certificate in environmental sustainability. While pursuing her BBA she participated in the 2016/2017 CFA Research Challenge, receiving second place overall. She has also volunteered with Enactus, the Bank of Canada Governors Challenge, and the Undergraduate Research & Innovation Conference. In 2017, she was the recipient of the UREAP Research Grant for her pursuit of research of commodities and the Canadian stock exchange, alongside Mohammad Mahbobi. Her passion for education is a driving force in her current university tutoring for calculus and statistics Ms.
