Mirza Zaeem Baig holds is an academician and Data Science Enthusiast. Currently, he is involved with multiple post-secondary institutes in Canada including Simon Fraser University and Herzing College, Toronto. He has been working with various institutions in Canada since he moved to the country in 2022. He has a passion for Data Science and AI and likes to work on exploring problems related to helping humans externalize their cognition with the help of AI and immersive technologies. He also explores the area of generating personalized recommendations for consumers in different business sectors.
Mirza brings with him several years of academic and professional experience at multiple roles. He worked at various universities from Pakistan, UAE and Australia. He has also served in the software industry in various technical roles. He was previously involved with Emirates Aviation University (the education arm of the Emirates Group) and the Dubai Campus of Curtin University, Australia where he taught Business, Computer Science and Data Science programs including supervising multiple Data Science based projects. He is also a specialist consultant trainer and has delivered multiple talks and workshops on the topic of AI globally.
