CANADA VISA

ESSENTIAL DETAILS ON OBTAINING VISAS AND ENTERING CANADA

To enter Canada, you will need a valid passport or travel document and, in some cases, a visa. Permanent residents of Canada do not require a visa but must have a valid Permanent Resident Card.

Visitors from certain countries may also be able to enter Canada without a visa through the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program. It’s best to check the Government of Canada’s website for the most up-to-date information on visa and entry requirements.

Submission of Applications

A Canadian visa application can be submitted online or in person at a visa application center. You should visit the IRCC website to learn about obtaining a temporary resident visa (visitor visa) and the application process.

Please be aware that visa applications are evaluated individually based on the information provided by the applicant. It is urged to submit the application well before your planned travel date, as processing times can vary.

Plus, it is suggested that participants use the processing times calculator for guidance and generally apply for a visa about 12 weeks before their intended departure date to ensure that they receive the visa before the start of the event.

In addition to the application, you will also need to provide supporting documents such as a valid passport, proof of financial support, and additional documents specific to the type of visa you are applying for.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to demonstrate that they meet the qualifications for a temporary resident visa. The assignment of a special event code to this event does not give any advantage to the applicant in terms of a successful visa outcome. The applicant must fulfill all the necessary criteria to be granted a visa

Invite Delegates To Canada For An Event Or Meeting

If you are inviting delegates to Canada for an event or meeting, you will need to provide a letter of invitation to each delegate. The letter should include the following information:

  • The purpose of the event or meeting (e.g., conference, trade show, etc.);
  • Dates and location of the event or meeting;
  • Name and contact information of the delegate being invited;
  • Name and contact information of the person or organization hosting the event or meeting;
  • Confirmation that the delegate will have a place to stay and that all expenses will be covered during their stay;
  • A statement that the delegate will not be engaged in any activities that would violate Canadian laws and regulations.

It’s important to note that a letter of invitation does not guarantee that a visa will be issued, and it is not a substitute for the required visa application. Additionally, the invitee must have a Canadian Business Visa or a Tourist Visa.

Also, it is essential to make sure that you provide any other supporting documentation that may be required by Canadian immigration authorities, such as proof of financial support, proof of the event or meeting, and any other relevant information.

Letter Of Invitation For Business Visitors To Canada

  • Confirmation that the person being invited will have a place to stay and that all expenses will be covered during their stay;
  • A statement that the person being invited will not be engaged in any activities that would violate Canadian laws and regulations.

N.B It’s important to note that a letter of invitation does not guarantee that a visa will be issued, and it is not a substitute for the required visa application.

How to bring business guests to Canada

To bring business guests to Canada, the individual(s) will need to obtain a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) if they are from a visa-exempt country.

The individual(s) will also need to provide documentation such as a letter of invitation from the Canadian company, proof of financial support, and proof of the purpose of their visit.

It is also recommended that the individual(s) have a valid passport and any other required travel documents. An individual must check the specific requirements and procedures for obtaining a TRV or eTA, as they can vary depending on the individual’s country of origin and the purpose of their visit.
